The Great Conflict

You are in conflict.  Chances are, it's massive conflict.  How can you tell?  Look at your life.  Do you have what you want?  Do you even know what you want?  Probably not.  And let us say you do know what you want out of life, do you have it?  Nope.

Why?  The answer is simple.  You are in conflict with yourself.  This world offers untold opportunity, riches, health, happiness, successes, pleasures, and wonders.  Yet you are left wanting.  You work at a job you hate, your relationships are pathetic, your bank account is empty, and your life sucks.  You stare in the mirror, at a body that is fat and round, and you know there is more.  There must be.  There has to be.

There is.  You know it deep down.  You know it in the pit of your stomach, in your soul.  You want it.  You yearn for it.  You don't have it.  Why?

Why do others, others who seemingly have no right, have everything in their life that the world offers?

So let's do some grounding here.  Let's go over the facts.  As we go through these, feel free to disagree with me, click off the site, and go back to your pathetic life.  Your choice.

1)  Everything you have in your life, every result, every pound of you on that scale, your job, your significant other (0f lack of), your bank account balance, everything you have has been caused by you.  It is your fault.  Do you hear me?  You caused these results to occur in your life.  Period.

If you don't agree, if you want to blame your crappy parents, your upbringing, your intelligence or genetics, or the stars in the sky, get over it.  It's your fault.  You caused it.  You made the bad choices, you ate the crappy food, you destroyed the relationships in your life.  Get it?

Here's the foundation.  If you did not cause the results you have, if you are a victim to circumstance and chance, then you can never overcome them.  You will be a victim again and again and again.  So stop reading, click off the site, go home, eat another twinkie, have another beer, enjoy your victim-filled, crappy, whinny excuse for a life.  You are worth more than that, but I don't expect you to hear anything else I say.  But, if you happen to agree with me, than lets go to number two.

How to achieve success at anything you want.

The truth is very obvious.  If you want success at anything you must spend time on it every single day.  And not just with repetitive actions, but with the mind and learning as well.  That's it.  Sounds too good to be true doesn't it?  Let me give you some examples.

If you want to be an exceptional basketball player, you must shoot, dribble, drill, run, lift, jump, scrimmage, play, read about technique, study footage, think and practice every single day.  You must work on the basics, refine the finer aspects and subtleties, and drill some more.  You must study and learn so you continue to practice and drill effectively.  Rinse and repeat.

You do this every single day and you will achieve tremendous levels of success in the sport.  But wait.  I can hear some of you naysayers already saying, "What about genetics?"  Some people are just born more gifted or athletic and have an inherent advantage.

So what?  No one cares.  And it you want success, you better stop caring about excuses like that as well.

Lets take another example.  Take sales in any business environment.

Spend everyday selling, refining your skills, deepening your product knowledge and you will be immensely successful.  End of the story.

This same truth is 100% present in every single aspect of life.  You want to be in great shape?  Spend every single day working out, taking care of your body, eating right, spend time in recovery after strenuous days, read about how to develop your body, how to work out effectively and apply it every single day.

Done and done.

I don't care how you get over your excuses and garbage that holds you back.  It doesn't matter.  If you half-ass it, you'll be half-ass.  If you do it once in a while, you will remain mediocre at best.  That's just how it works.

Now I can hear you again.  You say you already knew this?  You say that this concept is common knowledge?  Then why do you have such pathetic amounts of success in your own life?  It's because you don't work on "your thing" every single day, do you?  So you are not reading this to figure out what to do, you are reading this to try and figure out how to keep doing it.  How to get out of bed early and work out before heading off to work.  How to stop yourself from eating all those french fries that come with your sandwich lathered with mayo.  How to make that next sales call after the one that just rejeted you.

Well that is something else entirely.
